New Orleans Police Issue Arrest Warrant For Odell Beckham Jr.
Is it just me, or does anybody else feel like since the start of January folks have been out here wildin’ out and taking mad L’s for the new year while at it? Now we can add #OdellBeckhamJr to that list. 🤦🏾♀️
According to ESPN, New Orleans police on Thursday issued an arrest warrant for #ClevelandBrowns wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.on a complaint of simple battery after a video surfaced of him slapping a Superdome security guard on the butt in the locker room, following #LSU’s championship victory over #Clemson.
New Orleans Police Department public affairs officer Juan Barnes confirmed that the security guard filed the complaint.
The Browns said in a statement released Thursday:
“We are aware of the incident and have been in touch with Odell and his representatives on the matter. They are cooperating with the proper authorities to appropriately address the situation."
As if the butt slapping wasn’t enough, Odell was also captured on video passing out money to several LSU players which is considered to be a violation of NCAA bylaws.
Louisiana statute defines simple battery as battery committed without the consent of the victim. Punishment in Louisiana can include a fine of no more than $1,000 and imprisonment for no more than six months, or both.
For the month of February let’s all just practice sitting down somewhere.
