Bill Cosby’s Publicist To Eddie Murphy: You’re A Hollywood Slave
In an Instagram post Andrew uploaded his frustrations about Eddie’s “Cosby joke” and compared his performance to that of a “Hollywood slave.”
“Mr. Cosby became the first black to win an Emmy for his role in I Spy and Mr. Cosby broke color barriers in the entertainment industry so that blacks like Eddie Murphy, #DaveChappell, #KevinHart, etc. could have an opportunity to showcase their talents for many generations to come.”
Wyatt continued, “One would think that Mr. Murphy was given his freedom to leave the plantation, so that he could make his own decisions; but he decided to sell himself back to being a Hollywood Slave. Stepin Fetchit plus cooning equals the destruction of Black Men in Hollywood.”
For those unfamiliar, Stepin Fetchit is a character made famous by actor #LincolnPerry, who is now considered by many to be America’s first African American film star for his portrayal of the lazy, shiftless “Stepin Fetchit” viewed by many to be painfully racist.
