Attorney for Amber Guyger Files Notice Of Appeal

Surprise not surprise #AListers.

Attorneys for #AmberGuyger, the former Dallas Police officer convicted of murdering her neighbor in his own apartment, have filed a notice to appeal her conviction.

According to abc the notice was filed in the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals by Guyger's lawyer, Michael Mowla, earlier this month just weeks after the 31-year-old was convicted and sentenced to only 10 years in prison.

Guyger, 31, faced a prison sentence of five to 99 years after the jury rejected her self-defense claims and convicted her of murder for the fatal shooting of #BothamJean, a 26-year-old man she shot and killed on Sept. 6, 2018, when she claimed she mistakenly entered his apartment believing it was her own.
